FOR COMPLETE REVIEW GOTO: tinyurl.com The 2009 Chief from the latest incarnation of Indian Motorcycle, in Kings Mountain, NC, simultaneously pays tribute to the brands 108-year legacy while addressing modern riders demands for power and performance. Its valanced fenders and two-tone paint are classic, and its fuel-injected, 105 cubic inch motor and 3-way catalyzed exhaust are modern, but at $31000-$35500 the four currently available models are also quite expensive.

i wont even LOOK till i see a bike around 15K at 35 you wont get em in the door regardless of curb appeal, But hey you know you can keep the price high and they can make another video where they talk shit about the last owners that went bankrupt….

I agree and I hate that because I’m a Indian chief lover but you are so right !

I hate to say this but 36k, what are you nuts… This is going to be a short lived company if the don’t do something..

I love Indian but 36K in today’s market. Good luck with that. I think they would be better to price bikes in the 16K to 24K area. Maybee I’m missing somthing here??? At the end of the day, maybee their new marketing objective will work, but time will tell. Other than than, nice bike…I love the idea of another iconic motorcyle brand in the market.

Thank god ,another expensive v-twin cruiser with a giant motor on the market. Finally that niche will be filled.
December 5th, 2009 at 2:44 PM
LMAO, true.
December 5th, 2009 at 3:20 PM
Oh what a relief, it’s only about 35,000, for a minute I thought it would cost as much as a premium car…..oh wait it does.

The Indian is really a nice scooter. But I believe it going to price it’s self out of the cycle business.
December 5th, 2009 at 4:57 PM
Right! There is absoultly no reason to pay $30,000 for a motorcycle. My Honda will out handel this thing in the curves seven days a week. Don’t get me wrong, I’d like one, but its just not worth the price tag.
December 5th, 2009 at 5:28 PM
…and 1/3 less quality, 1/3 less awesome ride, 1/3 less handling. The new Indian is a totally awesome motorcycle. Pretty is 1/3 of the compliment that it should be!

I am making history with mine!

December 5th, 2009 at 10:05 PM

December 5th, 2009 at 10:42 PM
Gorgeous bike!!! USD 40.000 for it, just too much!!!
December 5th, 2009 at 11:01 PM
I would rather have one of the older Indians. I would restore it. The new ones are nice, but I rather own a piece of history.
December 5th, 2009 at 11:10 PM
Indian is dealing in Quality at 25-35K, HARDY is dealing in Quantity (they made 274k bikes last year) they outsold ALL the Japanese manufactures (Honda sold 10k fewer than HD). So Harley riders WHO IS the ESTABLISHMENT now?
December 6th, 2009 at 12:04 AM
yip, indian motorcycles.when indian first went bust they sold the name to diff territories,it’s the USA arm that keeps going bust
December 6th, 2009 at 12:53 AM
